Mahjong Tide: 3D Tile Match
Mahjong Tide: Privacy Policy
Summary
Mahjong Tide ("the App") is a single-player tile-matching puzzle game for iPhone and iPad, published by Tilak Beladiya (the "Service Provider", "we", "us"). This policy explains what information the App handles and why.
In short:
- You do not need an account, and we never ask for your name, email, phone number or address.
- Your game progress and settings are stored only on your device.
- We use Google Firebase to understand how the game is played and Google AdMob to show ads. These services collect device and usage information, described below.
- Personalised ads and cross-app tracking happen only if you allow them through Apple's tracking prompt and, where required, our consent form.
- Purchases are handled by Apple. We never see your payment details.
This policy applies to the App and its App Store listing. By using the App, you agree to the practices described here.
Effective date: 11 October 2026 · Last updated: 11 October 2026
1. Information Collection and Use
Information stored only on your device. The App saves your game progress (levels completed, stars, coins, tools, achievements, streaks, statistics, daily rewards and cosmetic choices) and your settings (sound, haptics, reminders) on your device. This data is not sent to us. Deleting the App deletes it.
Usage and device information (analytics). Through Google Firebase Analytics, the App records game events such as starting, finishing or failing a level, using a tool, opening the shop and completing a purchase. Firebase also collects:
- an app-instance identifier generated by Firebase
- device model, operating system version, language, country (derived from your IP address) and app version
- session information, such as when and how long the App is used
Advertising information. Google AdMob, which shows ads in the App, may collect:
- your device's IP address and general location (country or region)
- device and app information, and how you interact with ads
- your device's advertising identifier (IDFA), only if you allow tracking through Apple's App Tracking Transparency prompt
Purchase information. When you buy coins or tool packs, Apple processes the payment. We receive only a transaction record (product, date and a transaction ID) so we can deliver your purchase.
We do not collect your contacts, photos, precise location, health data or any information you type.
2. How We Use Information
We use the information above to:
- run the game and save your progress on your device
- deliver coins and items you buy, and prevent duplicate rewards
- understand which levels and features players enjoy or find too hard, and fix bugs and crashes
- adjust ad and shop settings remotely without an app update (Firebase Remote Config)
- show ads that keep the App free, and measure how those ads perform
- send the local reminders you turned on
We do not sell your personal information, and we do not use it to make decisions that have legal or similarly significant effects on you.
Where EU or UK law applies, our legal bases are: your consent for personalised ads and tracking; our legitimate interests in analysing and improving the game and showing non-personalised ads; and performance of a contract to deliver purchases.
3. Third-Party Access
The App uses these services, each acting under its own privacy policy:
| Service | Provider | What it does | Privacy policy |
|---|---|---|---|
| Firebase Analytics | Google LLC | Game usage statistics | Firebase privacy |
| Firebase Remote Config | Google LLC | Remote settings for ads and shop | Firebase privacy |
| Google AdMob | Google LLC | Shows banner, interstitial, app-open, native and rewarded ads | How Google uses data from apps that use its services |
| Google User Messaging Platform | Google LLC | Shows the ad-consent form where required | Google Privacy Policy |
| App Store and StoreKit | Apple Inc. | Processes in-app purchases | Apple Privacy Policy |
AdMob may share information with its certified advertising partners to fill ad requests. We do not control how these providers use information beyond what their policies and our settings allow.
4. Opt-Out Rights and Advertising Choices
Apple's tracking prompt. The first time you open the App, iOS may ask whether Mahjong Tide can track your activity across other companies' apps and websites. If you choose Ask App Not to Track, your advertising identifier is not shared and you will see non-personalised or contextual ads. You can change this any time in Settings › Privacy & Security › Tracking.
Consent in the EEA, UK and Switzerland. If you are in these regions, the App shows a consent form from Google before personalised ads are served. You can accept, refuse or choose by purpose. [If the App has a "Privacy settings" button: you can reopen the form from Settings in the App.]
US state privacy laws. Showing personalised ads may count as "selling" or "sharing" personal information under some US state laws. You can opt out by choosing Ask App Not to Track, or by contacting us (see Contact).
Limit ads further. You can reset or limit your advertising identifier in Settings › Privacy & Security › Apple Advertising, and learn about Google's ad controls at My Ad Center.
Stop all collection. You can stop all information collection by the App at any time by uninstalling it, using your device's standard uninstall process or the App Store.
The game works fully whatever you choose. Only the type of ads changes.
5. In-App Purchases and Notifications
Purchases. The App sells optional coin and tool packs. Apple handles all payments under its own terms; we never receive your card details, Apple ID or billing address. We keep a transaction ID on your device so each purchase is credited exactly once.
Reminders. If you turn on Reminders, the App schedules notifications locally on your device (for example, that a daily reward or free spin is waiting). No push token or notification data is sent to us. You can turn reminders off in the App's settings or in Settings › Notifications › Mahjong Tide.
6. Data Retention, Security and Transfers
- On-device data stays until you delete the App.
- Analytics data in Firebase is kept for the period set in our Google Analytics settings, [14 months], then deleted automatically.
- Advertising data is kept by Google under its own retention policies.
Data sent to Google is encrypted in transit. Google may process it in the United States and other countries; where EU or UK law applies, these transfers rely on safeguards such as Standard Contractual Clauses or the EU–US Data Privacy Framework.
We use reasonable physical, electronic and procedural safeguards, but no method of storage or transmission is completely secure. We limit what we collect to what the App needs.
To ask us to delete data associated with your use of the App, email gogreenapplab@gmail.com and we will respond within a reasonable time.
7. Children's Privacy
Mahjong Tide is a general-audience game and is not directed at children under 13 (or the minimum age in your country). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If we learn that such information has been collected, we will delete it promptly. If you are a parent or guardian and believe your child has provided personal information, contact us at gogreenapplab@gmail.com so we can take the necessary action.
8. Your Rights
Depending on where you live (including the EU, UK, Switzerland, California and other US states), you may have the right to:
- know what personal information is processed about you, and get a copy
- correct or delete it
- object to or restrict processing, and withdraw consent at any time
- opt out of personalised advertising, "selling" or "sharing"
- complain to your local data-protection authority
Because we do not collect your name or email and cannot link analytics data to you, the quickest controls are on your device: choose Ask App Not to Track, reset your advertising identifier, or delete the App. For any other request, contact us using the details below. We will not treat you differently for exercising your rights.
9. Changes to This Policy
We may update this policy from time to time, for example when the App or the law changes. We will post the updated policy on this page and change the "Last updated" date above. Please review it regularly; continued use of the App after an update means you accept the revised policy.
10. Consent
By using the App, you consent to the processing of your information as described in this policy, as it may be amended. Where the law requires your consent for personalised ads or tracking, we ask for it separately, and you can withdraw it at any time as explained in section 4.
11. Contact Us
